NORTHEAST MUSIC INITIATIVE - NEMI

NEMI is a working title for a conceptual project to develop an organisation through which independent record labels and artists in the North East of England can distribute their material. The scheme works through a corporatist system where members retain independence but have the benefits of a larger structure.

Advantages arise from efficient allocation of resources.

At this time funding is sought to conduct an in depth study of the recorded music market and regional needs to evovle an imaginative scheme for the region.
